Have you looked in the mirror today?

What were the first things that came to mind about what you saw?

Did you find yourself scanning every inch of your body, silently picking it apart?

Were all of your flaws staying you back front and center?

Did you immediately get the sense that you needed to “do something about it”?

I ask only because I’ve been there.

There were days I was so harsh with my body. Not only talking about it in a rude and disrespectful way— a way I would never let someone else talk to me—

But I would often abuse it with food and exercise either too much or too little.

I bought the lie that if only my body looked a little different or was slightly smaller…then I could be happy with what I saw looking back.

I made it my personal mission to get the body of my dreams.

To many onlookers I had succeeded.

But I knew what no one else did— even at my lightest or my leanest, it still never felt quite good enough.

There was always a little more I could lose. Or a little more toning of my abs or inner thighs. A little more cellulite to get rid of.

The list was never ending.

Until one day I just decided I’m done.

I had heard about mindset work— though maybe not called that at the time.

And was intrigued that I could change how I felt about my body by changing the way I thought about it. 🤯

This was just the beginning, truly.
